Kate strikes again

The toddler engineer strikes again! From an email

kate woke me up at 5:30 (ack! ) and then proceeded to take apart all her dresser drawers and find a packet of screws which she was working on opening with pretend plastic scissors to 'fix her bed rails' when I found her.

Me: Where do I live?
Kate: Seattle
Me: Where does Kate live?
Kate: at home

The way she says Seattle is very cute! And if you ask her how I get home, Kate says "on an airplane" -smart baby!

Kate's an artist

I received two Kate finger paintings today in the mail (along with yummy chocolate chip cookies!). I framed one of them, and I was going to hang it up, but I'm out of hooks! I will take a picture once I've bought some hooks and hung it up- it's going in my living room next to the photo of the polar bear statue at musée d'orsay.

Saturday with Dad

I slept in today! It was the latest that I have ever slept-- until 9am. My parents were so excited :)  My Mom was busy working today that I spent the day with my Dad. That made me giggly and happy. Dad and I went to go visit Grandma and Grandpa. My Dad is a good friend and I appreciate him.
